The starting issue of this stage of development of the residential unit Palouk was the investor’s requirement for maximum material and capacity utilisation of the developed area while observing all utility coefficients, in combination with the architects’ ambition to create a unit within a natural scale of a residential complex and with a balanced ratio of built-up area to greenery. That is why the basic design solution features a continuous line of individual buildings along the Nazovska Street, comprising of smaller units. The basic design element for the project is a set of five identical cubic buildings, supplemented with two flat buildings and a high-rise ten-floor building. The separate structures are interconnected via the terrace levels. Passages on the ground level allow pedestrians to pass from the Nazovska Street to the greenery towards the Vinohradska Street. The positioning of the buildings creates a plaza in their midst.
