Petrzalka City is a multifunctional development project in the centre of Bratislava quarter Petrzalka. The project represents the first stage of a municipal centre, still missing in this part of the city despite its more than 100,000 residents. The project design pays special attention to the ground level, pedestrian areas, small architectural elements and greenery, while maintaining the unique environs of the blind branch of the Danube River. The slope of the riverbed is extended to create an artificial hillside, reaching to the level of the third aboveground floor, linking to the shopping gallery and office space. The main road is lined with residential buildings, with commercial and office space on the ground floor. The shopping gallery also responds to the requirement of the city for sports facilitates – offering a swimming pool and a fitness centre. The 25-floor high-rise building offers a combination of office space and a hotel.
