The study objective is to create a quality public space preferring pedestrians to automobiles. The study has two versions, “a pedestrian zone” and “a street with reduced traffic load”. Component spaces are designed with different arrangements and operational principles. An accent is made on the non-collisional operation on crossroads and on the high standard of the street furniture. As an unifying element sculptural balls are used in the proposal. They can be used as barriers on the pavement and as alternative sitting places.
