The original warehouse and office building of the Hennlich Industrietechnik (HIT) company in Litomerice was built according to the project of the studio CASUA in 2001. Since then, the HIT company has successfully expanded and required size of an additional building was approximately double than the original one. A completion of the complex is designed as an extension of the existing warehouses and an addition of a new factory building with developmental and experimental departments. Both buildings are connected by a neck, which serves for loading and unloading of goods. From the eastern side, each factory building has a adjacent wing of offices and ancillary facilities. A company canteen, which serves also like a multifunctional hall is placed in the 3rd floor of the new office wing. Spacious roof terrace with views of the Czech Central Mountains (Ceske stredohori) is situated on the roof of the new building. Supporting structure is designed by a concrete frame and concrete or steel roof trusses. As with the original building, silver KINGSPAN panels in combination with dark green infill elements are used for the facade cladding of the extension. The new building is heated by heat pump in combination with capillary ceiling mats system. Construction of a baby club with an outdoor playground for small children of employees demonstrates friendly social policy of the company.
