The location was of course chosen on purpose, as CASUA is a partner in the reconstruction of the Rudolfinum terrace, which should be completed and inaugurated in 2025.
We spiced up the evening with a guided tour of the building. In addition to the Dvořák and Suk Halls, we peeked into the staff facilities for musicians and walked up to the EDUcentre, which is dedicated to the education of young musicians in fun and colourful spaces.
Then it was just a matter of settling in and enjoying the concert itself. The first movement was devoted to the Four Serious Songs performed by bass-baritone Christian Immler, followed by Symphony No. 2 in D major.
