Pellé's villa is not named after the world-famous footballer, but after the French general Pellé, who lived here as chief of staff of the Czechoslovak army after the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic. It was the centre of social life and visitors included the painter Zdeňka Braunerová and other celebrities. After World War II, the villa was converted into a kindergarten and it was in this state that we got it for reconstruction. We reconstructed the villa to its original state with the addition of an attic as additional exhibition space. The task for the reconstruction was to create a gallery of Jiří Anderle.
